Chicago Blackhawks star rookie Connor Bedard’s injury has shaken up the odds for the Calder Trophy, moving his odds from an overwhelming -500 favorite to -200. The 18-year-old suffered a fractured jaw and has been placed on the Injured Reserve, although it is not expected to be an extensive absence.

The top overall pick has delivered early on his hype, recording 33 points in 39 games so far. Adam Fantili (+750) and Marco Rossi (+1700) are the closest in points behind Bedard with 24 each.

However, New Jersey’s Luke Hughes is the second-favorite at +400 with 23 points. His brothers, Jack and Quinn, both currently play in the NHL.

The Calder Memorial Trophy is awarded to the most “proficient” player in his first NHL season. Members of the Professional Hockey Writers Association vote on the award, which was first given out after the 1932-33 season.

CALDER ODDS VIA DRAFTKINGS:

Connor Bedard (-200)

Luke Hughes (+400)

Brock Faber (+750)

Adam Fantili (+750)

Marco Rossi (+1700)
