Logan Gilbert ranks sixth in the American League with a 2.79 ERA but Seattle is just 11-9 in his starts. That’s because the Mariners rank dead last in the bigs with a .218 team batting average.

One of those pitchers that’s really flying under the radar, baseball fans know him, but not casual fans, is Logan Gilbert in Seattle. Larger reason for that is the Mariners offense. It’s just been such an anemic. So it’s just trouble scoring most of the season. But I do think Gilbert is a guy worth betting on when he’s facing the Angels because I don’t think much of this Halo’s offense. And the last time he pitched against the Angels, well, he delivered. Seven innings, shutout ball, just two hits allowed and no walks with nine strikeouts.

So think if we get a prop offering of something along those lines, I think we pounce. I think Gilbert, now his last outing was a week ago, Sunday, and it was against the Angels. So right before the All-Star break. And so he gets them at home this time. I don’t want to have to back the Seattle offense. I just think it’s better to isolate the props. So this is a prime example where you can really just bet on a pitcher and not worry about the offense. And this is the exact team you kind of want to do it with. So I’ll roll with Logan Gilbert props once they’re posted.
