There’s not much more I can say about the Chicago White Sox. 27 -84 record on the season, by far the worst in all of baseball. And of course, they’ve lost 17 straight games. So they head to Minnesota to face the Twins. Twinkies minus 290 on the money line. You’re over under 8 1⁄2. Now, I think it’s pretty absurd With Joe Ryan on the bump for Minnesota, they’re nearly $3 favorites, but such is life with the White Sox. I mean, remember the other day they were up five to two in the eighth and the Royals scored six runs to win eight, five came all the way back to not just win, but cover the run line. Crazy.
All right. So who’s on the bump for the White Sox? Davis Martin has only pitched once this year that was out of the bullpen. So this may be a bullpen game, but last year he had nine starts, pretty below average numbers. Nothing to write home about this Twins offense is good. I expect them to win, but I can’t lay 290 just for context. Basically the money line translates to a percentage of about 75%. So if you think Minnesota has a better than 75 % chance to win the game, then you should lay the 290, $3. If not, then maybe the other side. So good luck to the white socks. At some point they will get a win, I think.
