Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel just might be the poster boy for college football’s current landscape, so it makes perfect sense that he is involved in this season’s massive conference realignment.
The QB is a consensus +700 Heisman Trophy favorite, as he enters his sixth and final season while joining his third program. Georgia’s Carson Beck is either listed as a co-favorite or with slightly higher odds at +750.
Dillon and Oregon have joined the Big Ten, which will now have 18 schools. USC, UCLA and Washington also are making the same transition.
Beck and Georgia are the +290 national championship favorites, while sitting as +190 SEC favorites. However, the Bulldogs now have more competition, as Oklahoma and Texas have joined the conference.
Longhorns QB Quinn Ewers is the third favorite at +1000 at DraftKings. Fellow SEC quarterbacks Jaxton Dart of Ole Miss and Jalen Milroe of Alabama are next with +1400 odds.
Last year Oregon QB Bo Nix entered the final weekend as the Heisman favorite but struggled in the Pac-12 championship game. He finished third.
