At first glance, it’s a tricky handicap because anybody who bets the NBA know that there’s an expected bounce back in game two from the road team that lost game one and the market certainly indicates that. And the two time defending champs are the two time defending champs. But the Liberty have dominated all the meetings this year when you think about it and maybe they’re just that much better. So game two, Liberty a three and a half point home favorite after being a four point favorite in game one, which they won by 10. Over-under is the same at 164.

So I get it. The two time defending champs have been playing much better of late. And the only reason they’re the four seed is because Chelsea Gray missed the first half of the season. They hit their stride come playoff time, had one seven straight and 10 of 11. But New York won by double digits and they dominated this game. And obviously the Aces can bounce back and I wouldn’t be shocked if Becky Hammond tweaks a couple things and they steal game two. But I got to roll with this Liberty team. I love their new lineup. Vandersloot’s coming off the bench, Fiebich starting and they just click. And particularly what Breanna Stewart did, 34 points. Now, she’s a former MVP, obviously one of the league’s best players, but she had struggled last year in the series, the WNBA finals when they faced the Aces and A’ja Wilson sort of limited her, didn’t stop her. Obviously you can’t stop her. But to see her shine against this Las Vegas team is a very encouraging sign for New York. They won all regular season meetings, won game one, and I’ll lay what I think is a short number, three and a half, in game two.
