After back-to-back men’s basketball national championships that included dominant NCAA Tournament runs in which they covered every point spread, #3 UConn enters the season as the second favorite with +1100 odds at FanDuel.

The only time the sport has seen a school win three straight titles came when UCLA won seven straight from 1967 to 1973. Since then, only three teams have managed to win back-to-back championships: Duke (’91 & ’92) and Florida (’07 and ’08).

Danny Hurley is chasing history in a new era. The transfer portal and lucrative NIL have changed the landscape of college sports. Additionally, the Huskies have seen six players drafted over the past two seasons and only return one of their top five scorers (Alex Karaban).

The overall betting favorite is Duke (+950), which begins the season ranked seventh. The Blue Devils will unveil five-star recruit Cooper Flagg, as he is already projected as the top overall pick in the NBA Draft.

Duke, always popular with bettors, also has the highest percentage of championship tickets bought with 13.1% of the action according to BetMGM (October 21).

Kansas is top-ranked and has +1200 title odds.
