Golf’s Best 19th Holes

By Ryan Bologna

Everyone loves a cold beer and a great meal after a round of golf. Whether it is just your classic burger joint or a more fancy place with a theme, there are tons of golf course bars and restaurants. We looked into some of the best places throughout the U.S.

North Street Tavern, White Plains, NY

You might expect North Street Tavern to just have your standard burger and fries, but the menu of 14 different wood-fired pizzas sets it apart. Anyone can do pizza, but when it’s wood-fired, you know it’s going to be good. There is inside and outside seating on a large deck that overlooks the course along with a full bar. It’s the perfect place to unwind after a round of golf.

The Bethpage Public House, Farmingdale, NY

The menu at Bethpage Public House does not disappoint. It includes wings with a creative sauce selection and artisanal pizzas. But it doesn’t stop there. The event schedule is always exciting. Whether it’s a luau party, beers and bingo or a party in the park, there’s always something to do. Bethpage Public House will not disappoint.

The Tap Room, Pebble Beach

While the food selection at The Tap Room is not really exotic, this list of the coolest golf course bars would not complete without this one on it. If you are a big golf historian, visiting The Tap Room is worth it for the memorabilia alone. The prices for the food might be a bit much, but that is to be expected at an iconic venue like this.

The Duece At Pinehurst, NC

Another iconic venue is The Duece, which overlooks the green for the 18th hole at Pinehurst No. 2. The best items on the menu aren’t just your standard burger and fries — the fresh prime rib sandwich gets great reviews and there’s pecan candied bacon too. The Duece is a great place to visit even if you don’t know the history behind the course.

Cili at Bali Hai, Las Vegas, NV

Cili is described as a restaurant that includes American cuisine with an Asian flair and it lives up to its billing. While there are many exciting menu items, the one that fits the description best is the pad thai chicken wings. Along with carving stations and a large selection of drinks, Cili is one of the most unique golf course bars you will find.

The Immigrant Restaurant, Whistling Straits, Kohler, WI

What sets The Immigrant Restaurant apart is the history behind it. The six rooms pay tribute to the French, Dutch, German, Normandy, Danish, and English early settlers. While the short ribs get rave reviews, The Immigrant Restaurant is also a winery. There’s a lot of history and great selections of food and drinks. What more could you want?

Addison Restaurant, Fairmont Grand Del Mar, San Diego, CA

The menu is ever-changing at Addison Restaurant, but the quality never suffers. The chef is French-trained and makes West Coast-influenced dishes based on ingredients that are in season. Addison has a nine-course tasting menu and a 12,000 bottle wine room as well. While it’s not a cheap dinner, it is one of the best post-golf experiences.

La Hacienda at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, Scottsdale, AZ

If you’re looking to have a good time after a round of golf, La Hacienda is the place to be. Not only does it have great Mexican food items with quality ingredients like hand-made tortillas, but the tequila bar is lively and festive. La Hacienda has more of a party atmosphere than any other bar on this list. A visit is sure to be remembered.
