Waiver Wire Targets For NFL Week 6

By Ryan Bologna

We’re heading into week six of the NFL season, and we are starting to see some teams on bye weeks. This week, the Lions, Texans, Raiders and Titans are off. You’re probably going to be looking for some streaming options. Here is what some of the top outlets recommend for this week.

Geno Smith said, “They wrote me off. I ain’t write back, though” after defeating the Denver Broncos in week one on Monday Night Football. After a poor showing against the 49ers in week two, Smith has played good football. He has shown his worth as a streaming option, and all five outlets have him as one of the top quarterbacks on the waiver wire this week.

The Seahawks are popular this week. Kenneth Walker III was the top running back for pretty much every outlet this week, as starting running back Rachaad Penny will miss the remainder of the season with a fractured tibia. Walker had 88 yards and a touchdown on Sunday. He could be a good option for those with someone looking for running back depth, or maybe you have Derrick Henry on a bye this week.

Jakobi Myers was a popular name this week. Now healthy and coming back from injury, his role has increased week by week. Myers ended the 2021 season strong and seems to be regaining form. He should remain one of the featured options for the Patriots offense. If you have Davante Adams on a bye this week, Myers could be a good pickup.

Quarterback/tight end hybrid Taysom Hill was mentioned by every outlet this week. He is coming off a monster game against the Seahawks. He has been very boom or bust so far this season, but it seems he will remain involved in the Saints offense even after Sean Payton’s departure. Hill could be a good streaming option with upside at the tight end position this week.
