The slate of games in college and the NFL isn’t as exciting as last weekend, but there are still some interesting games to look into. Here are some of the best bets for this weekend.
Season Record: 8-11-2
No. 14 Syracuse +13.5 @ No. 5 Clemson
Pick: Syracuse +13.5
Syracuse has come a long way as a program. A couple of years ago most would probably expect Clemson to roll over Syracuse. The spread is still in the double digits, but not anywhere close to what it would have been a few years ago. The Tigers don’t have a generational quarterback like they did in the past. Clemson should win, but expect Syracuse to cover.
Titans -2.5 vs Colts
Pick: Titans -2.5
The Colts have won two games in a row, but have been one of the most inconsistent teams so far this year. Tennessee has won three in a row and just beat the Colts on the road a couple of weeks ago. The Titans still seem like the best team in the AFC South, and we should continue to see course correction from an 0-2 start to the season.
Jets -1 @ Broncos
Pick: Jets -1
New York football has been bad for a while, but the Jets look like a competitive team. They have been able to lean into Breece Hall and the running game over the last couple of weeks. The defense has been good enough and Zach Wilson hasn’t been asked to do too much. There are questions about whether Russell Wilson will play on Sunday, but the Jets should be able to win this game no matter who is under center for Denver.
Gas Station Sushi (Stay Away)
Falcons +6.5 @ Bengals
The Falcons are 6-0 against the spread so far this year, which makes it tough to take the Bengals. But this is a different kind of test for the Falcons. The Bengals offense exploded last week against the saints, and Tee Higgins should finally be healthy this week. Stay away from betting on this game this weekend.
