Mega Football Weekend Betting Preview

By Ryan Bologna

It’s Army Navy week, and we have some games with playoff implications in the NFL on Sunday. Here are some of the games you might want to target when placing your bets.

Season Record: 16-23-3

Navy (-2.5) vs Army

Pick: Army +2.5

Army has won two in a row, and some will point out that those wins came against UConn and UMass, but they won both games comfortably. Army sits at 5-6, one win away from bowl eligibility. Navy should keep it close, but expect Army to cover on Saturday.

Browns @ Bengals (-5.5)

Pick: Bengals

The Bengals seem to be hitting their stride at the right time. Joe Burrow has never beaten the Browns in his career, but I think that changes this weekend. Deshaun Watson is back, but he looked very rusty against Houston. I don’t think he will return to his peak form in his second game back. The Bengals should cover at home.

Jaguars @ Titans (-3.5)

Pick: Titans -3.5

This is the second week in a row that I’m confused by the spread in a Jaguars game. Last week’s game against the Lions was basically a pick ’em, and Detroit blew them out. The Titans have lost two straight, but those loses game to some of the best teams in the league in the Bengals and Eagles. Tennessee should take care of business at home.

Jets @ Bills (-10)

There are a lot of conflicting factors in this game. The Jets are very talented and beat the Bills last time around, but Mike White’s worst game as a pro came when he threw four interceptions against Buffalo last season. The Jets are too talented to bet against when they’re getting 10 points, but with White’s track record against the Bills there is too much of a chance that he turns the ball over a bunch again.
