Redwoods vs. Atlas
The Redwoods narrowly defeated the Atlas 13-12 in an intense game this weekend that came down to a last-second game-tying opportunity by Eric Law from the Atlas. Although Eric Law missed the net in the final seconds to tie the game, he still stood out for the Atlas with four goals and one assist, while Ryder Garnsey led the Redwoods’ scoring with six goals.
Faceoff battles saw TD Ierlan go 10-26 with three ground balls for the Redwoods, while Trevor Baptiste went 19-28 with five ground balls for the Atlas. Jack Kelly made 11 saves, averaging 47.8 percent for the Redwoods, and Jack Concannon had eight saves, a total average of 38.1 percent, for the Atlas.
The Redwoods covered the spread of +2.5, hit the money line of +180, and the over of 24.5 cashed with a total of 25 goals scored.
Cannons vs. Archers
The Archers came out on top in an exciting game against the Cannons, securing a 16-13 win. Marcus Holman led the Cannons’ scoring efforts with three goals, including a two-pointer. Meanwhile, Connor Fields stood out for the Archers, netting four goals.
At the faceoff X, Stephen Kelly struggled for the Cannons, winning only eight out of 28 faceoffs while Mike Sisselberger displayed dominance for the Archers, boasting an impressive 24-30 record on faceoffs in his PLL debut. In goal, Adam Ghitelman averaged 50 percent with 13 saves for the Cannons. On the other side of the field, Archers’ Brett Dobson stopped 16 shots, resulting in a save percentage of 59.3 percent.
The Archers not only secured the win but also covered the spread of -2.5 and hit the money line of -260. Additionally, the total number of goals scored in the game exceeded the O/U line of 23.5, with a total of 29 goals being scored.
Chaos vs. Waterdogs
The Waterdogs were able to withstand the Chaos with an 8-7 win in overtime. Connor Kelly led the Waterdogs’ scoring efforts with a remarkable performance, including a two-point goal and two one-point goals, which includes the game-winning goal in overtime. Kyle Jackson stood out for the Chaos, contributing one goal and one assist.
Jack Rowlett had an impressive performance in the faceoff battle, going 13-18 and securing seven ground balls for the Waterdogs. In contrast, Zac Tucci struggled for the Chaos, winning only four faceoffs out of 14 attempts.
In the goalkeeping department, Blaze Riorden continued to demonstrate his dominance, recording an outstanding 18 saves, which was 72 percent of the shots taken, for the Chaos. With Dillon Ward wrapping up his NLL season, backup goalie Matt DeLuca stepped in and put up a strong performance for the Waterdogs. DeLuca notched 11 saves during the game, putting his save percentage at 61.1 percent.
The Chaos covered the spread of +2.5 and the Waterdogs’ moneyline cashed at -225. The total number of goals scored in the game fell comfortably under the O/U line of 23.5, with a total of only 15 goals being scored.
Whipsnakes vs. Chrome
In a thrilling game, the Chrome secured a 12-11 victory over the Whipsnakes with a late goal by Cross Ferrara with 4.7 seconds left to seal the win. Mike Chanenchuk led the Whipsnakes’ offensive efforts, tallying an impressive five points with three goals and two assists. Jackson Morrill stood out for the Chrome, contributing with one goal and four assists.
In the faceoff battle, rookie Petey LaSalla made his debut for the Whipsnakes, going 13-for-24, while Connor Farrell went 12-for-24. Both goalies displayed similar performances, with Kyle Bernlohr making 15 saves for the Whipsnakes (55.6 percent save percentage) and Sean Sconone stopping 14 shots for the Chrome, boasting a 56 percent save percentage.
The Chrome covered the spread of +1.5 and hit its moneyline of +115, delivering a successful game for its bettors. Additionally, the total number of goals scored in the game just surpassed the O/U line of 22.5, with a total of 23 goals being scored.
