MLB Prop Platter: July 5

By Kenny Burgess

Welcome to the daily MLB player props picks! We’re looking at some of the most enticing player props and diving into why we like the picks.

Alex Verdugo O 1.5 Bases +100

Alex Verdugo has had a solid season for Boston so far and is hitting .291 with a .815 OPS (his average in his last 15 games is .313). Verdugo also has good career numbers against the Rangers’ starter Jon Gray. In 11 plate appearances against Gray, Verdugo’s hitting average is .364 with a home run. Verdugo has been riding a hot streak and has a good matchup against Gray so I like him to hit his over tonight.

Amed Rosario O 1.5 Bases +110

Amed Rosario has been red hot as of late and is hitting .333 over his last seven games — he’s also recorded two-plus bases in three consecutive games, including seven total bases last night. Rosario has seen Michael Soroka a lot from his time with the Mets’ and owns a .357 average against him. I like Rosario to stay hot tonight and get a couple of knocks off Soroka.

Graham Ashcraft U 17.5 Outs Recorded +100

Graham Ashcraft hasn’t had a very good season so far and is currently sporting a 6.66 ERA. His lack of success hasn’t seen Ashcraft going very deep into games and he has only pitched six-plus innings in two of his last 10 starts. Ashcraft is coming off a solid outing against the Padres, but that gives me more of a reason to believe he won’t be able to duplicate it again tonight.

I really like all these picks tonight and if you’re feeling just as confident as me, you could parlay all these picks at +740. This would be a nice payout if all of these picks cash. Either way, best of luck to all tonight and hopefully we win some money.
