About Doug Kezirian
Doug joined Only Players as Chief Content Officer, Senior Betting Analyst and main on-air talent to launch “Wager Watch with Doug Kezirian” in Las Vegas. His two decades of broadcasting experience, half of which with ESPN, merged with betting acumen and insider access, make him an industry unicorn.
While at ESPN, Doug served as the main host and betting analyst when Daily Wager launched in 2019 and later relocated to the Las Vegas Strip. Doug appeared on all platforms, including SportsCenter, to share his analysis, picks, and sourced information. Additionally, his weekend football columns were distributed to subscribers via two million alerts.
Doug is a unique television talent with actual, documented betting success. He famously won $297K on an NFL Draft prop in 2021 and also demonstrated sustained success with two top-5 finishes in the 2022 William Hill College Football Challenge (net $58K) and finishing tied for 14th this past NFL season in both Circa Millions and Westgate Las Vegas SuperContest (net $37K). This is what separates him from most other on-air betting personalities.
Prior to focusing solely on sports betting, Doug lived in Connecticut and hosted a multitude of ESPN programs, including its flagship show, SportsCenter. After arriving in Bristol in 2012, Doug’s anchoring duties included Baseball Tonight, NBA Tonight, Friday Night Fights, MMA Live, Outside the Lines, and various college basketball studio content, as well as calling play-by-play for a hoops game. Doug also found a radio home, serving as the main host for College GameDay on ESPN Radio for three seasons, in addition to filling in on nearly all ESPN Radio shows.
After stints in Missouri and Iowa, Doug’s early broadcasting years landed him in Las Vegas, where he spent seven years as the Sports Director and main sports anchor for the ABC affiliate. This is when Doug first rolled up his betting sleeves and earned his “graduate degree” in betting. He co-founded and co-hosted The Las Vegas Sportsline, which was a one-hour radio show on the local ESPN affiliate. During the weekday drive time slot, he and his co-hosts previewed games, discussed market moves, and interviewed oddsmakers and professional handicappers.
The Los Angeles native grew up as the youngest of five brothers. That lineage and his genuine love of sports helped pave a unique path that would ultimately lead to a career. In the third grade, he started competing in fantasy leagues and made his first bet – against his brother – $5 on the Super Bowl. That was unsuccessful…but he was undeterred.
His relationship with sports also involved participation. After playing every sport imaginable his entire life, Doug ultimately settled on water polo, which he was able to continue at Brown University as a four-year letterman and leading scorer during his junior and senior seasons.
Those days are long gone but Doug did run the inaugural Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Marathon. Yes, all 26.2 miles. But he now much prefers watching his beloved French Bulldog, Arthur, do the running…and handicapping games.
