The Jets’ contender status lasted only four plays into the regular season. Oddsmakers have moved New York’s Super Bowl odds to +6000, following the season-ending Achilles injury to Aaron Rodgers.

As 60-to-1 longshots, the Jets are now in a tier with the likes of the Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos and Minnesota Vikings.

The Jets also fall to +600 to win the AFC East, despite winning the opener. The Dolphins and Bills have shorter odds. New York’s win total is now 8.5, after entering the season at 9.5 and being an underdog in their first game.

While reports surface that the Jets could explore recently-retired veteran quarterbacks, 24-year-old Zach Wilson is the current starting quarterback. The former second overall pick has underwhelmed in his first two seasons. His odds for Comeback Player of the Year are currently +8000.

The Jets visit the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday as nine-point underdogs.
