Michigan is the new +185 betting favorite at FanDuel to win the College Football Playoff, following its win over rival Ohio State in a battle of undefeateds.

The Wolverines passed Georgia, as the two have leapfrogged each other a couple times this season. The Bulldogs have +200 odds, while Oregon (+480), Texas (+900), Alabama (+1000) and Washington (+2000) are next in line.

The main reason the Wolverines have the shortest odds is because they are 23.5-point favorites over Iowa in the Big Ten title game this weekend, while Georgia is favored by 6.5 points over Alabama. Those odds, along with the corresponding moneylines, suggest an easier path to the CFP.

If both favorites are victorious, Georgia will likely receive the top overall seed and become the betting favorite.
