How To Make A Tinder And Bumble Account

These days, more people are turning to the world of dating apps. Tinder and Bumble have become the online dating go-to’s. Why? For starters, over 66 million people use Tinder and 42 million use Bumble. So clearly there are plenty of fish in the sea!

Tinder and Bumble are also both extremely simple to set up and operate…even for all of the tech-dummies out there. As long as you have a smartphone and some photos of yourself, half of the job is already done! Make your way to the app store, download Tinder and Bumble, and we’ll walk you through the rest.

Among all of the newly emerged dating apps, Tinder remains the most popular. It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for your soulmate or a friend “with benefits”, Tinder has a healthy mix of everything! It matches you up with other users based on your geographic location and proximity, which you can adjust based on how far you’re willing to drive. With Tinder, it’s all about quick decisions. When a potential match pops up,you either swipe left to “pass” or swipe right if you like what you see. If someone right swipes on you and you right swipe on them, you end up with a match.

To create a Tinder account, make sure the app is downloaded on your phone and then click the big white button that says “Create Account”. From there, enter and verify your phone number. Once verified, include your best email address and connect either your Apple or Facebook account. Next comes the fun part: setting up your profile! Pick 4-6 good photos of yourself, but make sure the first one is your best. First impressions are everything, after all! Craft up a bio that’s witty or quick-hitting, and reflective of your personality. Once you’re set up, you can start swiping.

Bumble switches up the game by putting the women in control of making the first move. The same rules of Tinder apply to Bumble: you’re matched based on geographic proximity and you swipe right or left on prospective matches. The caveat is that once you match, the woman has to send the first message. The man only has 24 hours to respond before losing out on the potential love affair.

To sign up for a Bumble account, open the app and choose whether to login with Apple or Facebook, or to use your phone number. Signing up with Apple or Facebook will streamline your login process by pulling information from those accounts. If you’d rather use your cell phone, you’ll have to verify your phone number and answer the various required questions.

Once you’re signed up, you’ll set up your profile. Bumble’s profile setup is a little different from Tinder’s (and a lot more fun). Similarly, you’ll add your photos and put your prize-winner as the first. But on Bumble, you will answer more specific questions to narrow down matches, like whether you smoke marijuana or if you have kids. Bumble also gives you profile prompts to showcase your shining personality. Some examples of profile prompts include “two truths and a lie” or “my dream dinner guest is…”

When you’ve glammed up your profile, it is – yet again – time to get swiping. Have fun with dating apps and don’t put too much pressure on yourself. It may sound corny and cliche, but be yourself! The best matches will come that way.
