All WNBA fans are fired up for this one. Commissioners Cup rematch. A week after they decided which players will take home 30 grand each as opposed to 10 grand each, they do it again in New York, this time in the Barclays Center. New York laying five and a half at home. You’re over under 164. So the Lynx won outright with a similar point spread a week ago to decide that bag of cash.

Now, anybody who’s followed this program, and I feel like a broken record, I love me some Minnesota Lynx betting. 15 and four against the spread this year, an absolute wagon, and I think a legit contender to win it all. I know the Aces are the favorites, and rightfully so, especially with Chelsea gray back, but if Minnesota plays its best game, they have it. Now, in terms of this matchup,

This is a matchup of teams that certainly are effective on the offensive side of the ball. If we look at the rankings, where these teams rank amongst the 12 teams in the W, you’re talking top three for everything, right? Assist percentage, assist turnover ratio, net rating one and two in the league. Now, obviously the Aces rankings are skewed a little bit because Chelsea Gray only recently returned. She’s played the last four games. And that Pi stat, by the way, that’s basically player efficiency kind of thing.

So these rosters are legit and Minnesota has been such a pleasant surprise this year. You know their win total opened 14 and a half. Crazy. They may have finished with the league’s best record. As for this game, I leaned to the dog. I’m probably going to bet it. So it’s a bet on the underdog, but the spot, we talk about situational handicapping, it extremely favors the Liberty, a total revenge factor, but five and a half’s too many. I would have made it three.

I would have made it about three and a half in the Commissioner’s Cup game. Liberty go through dry spells and we’ve seen them play with their food. Now some of their ATS records don’t really apply. It’s when they’re big double digit favorites like they were against Atlanta and they were against and they win but they don’t cover. This one’s different. This one’s a more manageable point spread but I still think it’s too many. So I’m going to roll with my favorite team to bet on the Minnesota Lynx.
