Chicago has lost 14 straight games and has by far the worst record in the majors. Plus, Kansas City has won nine of 10 meetings this season.

There’s bad, and then there’s Chicago White Sox bad. The Southsiders are as bad as any team I can remember in baseball history, at least recent memory. 27 and 81. That means they have to win their final 54 games of the season to finish 500. Probably not gonna happen. White Sox, after getting swept by the Mariners at home this weekend, welcome the Kansas City Royals to town.

KC -170 road favorite over under nine. Now I can’t fault anyone for fading the White Sox as an auto play, especially a team that’s 14 straight games. They have a lot of losing skids over the season, but 14 is certainly something. It’s also their offense that can’t get anything done. I mentioned Seattle was just in town. That staff is excellent. So being held to three runs or fewer in all three meetings with Seattle over the weekend.

Not embarrassing or anything, but how about three runs or fewer in seven previous games as well? So that’s 10 straight games. The White Sox have not scored over three runs. I mean, they’re even getting some unearned runs along the way, but still not over three in a game. Now they’re facing Alex Marsh for Kansas City, has nothing to write home about. Five earned in his last game against Arizona.

Has had a couple kind of outlier amazing starts, shut down Cleveland, shut down the Yankees. So, you know, lightning in a bottle can certainly happen, but it’s more of a fade of Chicago. So I couldn’t fault anyone for laying the $1.70. Probably not going to do it on my end. Team total, certainly enticing, but it’s hard. I know we talk about betting value and the money line is there for sure, but this team is certainly an even extreme for that.

So there’s been value betting against Chicago so I would lay the $1 .70 nothing crazy but I have to get involved just because this team has been so bad but I will say that Seattle staff can make a lot of lineups look foolish so to speak so I’m going to you know keep fading this White Sox team.
