And just like that, the Yankees have won four straight games thanks to late game heroics, particularly last night, to tie the game in the ninth, win it in extras. Same thing happened on Saturday at Fenway Park, down to their last out, and they get it done. Reinforcements have arrived, and the Yankees are now odds on favorites to win the American League East. What’s gonna happen on Wednesday against the Phillies? Well, I don’t wanna bet against this lineup because things are just going right.

Soto’s on fire, Judge is on fire. But I want to fade nasty Nester. Nester Cortes, we’ve talked about it before, his splits are certainly telling and I think predictive. He’s been awful on the road compared to at home this season. So he’s on the road. Don’t need to worry about shutting down that Yankees lineup. Let’s isolate Cortes and take a look at some proposition bets. Outs recorded 15 and a half, -115 each side.

So that means he has to get at least one batter out in the sixth inning. 15 and a half, five innings would be 15, so he’s got to get 16 outs and it’s a coin flip either way. Hits allow, this one’s my favorite, five and a half. The overs -130, but I think there’s value there. Now, earned runs allow three and a half, like he could give up four. He certainly can do that with an ERA on the road of over six. Walks, I think it’s kind of random looking back and even games he’s been touched up, the under has actually cashed, but so is the over and same with strikeouts.

Even in games where he’s been touched up and pulled early, he’s gotten six strikeouts. So I think over hits is the way to go because you don’t need to worry about when those hits occur. I just don’t think he’ll be lights out. Now, one thing to keep in mind, Cortes knows his name was mentioned in trade rumors and things along those lines. So I don’t know if he has a little extra in this outing. Maybe it makes things worse. I mean, there’s no guarantee that it’s going to make things better, but it is a variable. Now what it does, We shall see, I’m gonna kind of ignore it, but I think over five and a half hits allowed for Nestor Cortes is the way to go.
