#2 pick favored for NBA Rookie of Year

Alexandre Sarr, the NBA’s second overall pick by the Washington Wizards, is the +500 betting favorite at FanDuel to win the Rookie of the Year award.

Fellow Frenchman and top overall pick, Zaccharie Risacher, is tied for the second favorite with +750 odds. UConn product, Stephon Castle, of the San Antonio Spurs also has +750 odds.

Zach Edey, the two-time Wooden Award winner from Purdue, has +1000 odds. He was drafted by the Memphis Grizzlies with the ninth overall pick.

Former SEC standouts are also in the mix. Reed Sheppard, a Kentucky product and #3 overall pick by the Houston Rockets, is the fourth favorite with +900 odds. SEC player of the year Dalton Knecht from Tennessee slipped to #17 to the Los Angeles Lakers and has +1000 odds.

Bronny James, the son of LeBron James that was drafted by the Lakers in the second round with the 55th overall pick, has 300-to-1 odds.
