Baseball is officially back. The MLB and the MLB Players Association have finally agreed to a new CBA after a 99-day lockout. Rob Manfraud and the greedy owners compromised with the players, who are the actual product after all.
So don’t worry anymore, your summer will not be without sports. You will be able to grab an ice-cold beer, Nathan’s hotdog, pack a nice dip, take a nap (twice), and enjoy a 3-hour game.
Along with the agreement, America’s national pastime implemented some new rules. National League fans will no longer have to watch pitchers be little league toddlers in the batter’s box with the implementation of a universal DH. MLB is also spicing up the playoffs with 12 teams getting the chance to play October baseball instead of 10. Also, Baseball analysts and nerds won’t be able to stop hitters with the defensive shift anymore. Back to actually playing your position and not spawning in random places on the field.
