The betting market now considers the Los Angeles Clippers a legitimate championship contender, following the acquisition of James Harden.

The Clippers have the fifth-shortest title odds at +1300 at FanDuel, after entering the season as 25-to-1 longshots. Those odds gradually lowered a bit, once reports surfaced of a potential deal between the Philadelphia 76ers and Clippers, and then significantly changed overnight when the trade became official.

Following a tense standoff with Philly, the 34-year-old former MVP and three-time scoring champion joins fellow Southern California natives Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and Russell Westbrook in L.A. and a franchise that has never reached the NBA Finals.

The Sixers also sent 12-year veteran P.J. Tucker to the Clippers. The package headed to the Sixers includes Nic Batum, Robert Covington, Marcus Morris and KJ Martin, according to ESPN.
