Rory McIlroy is the U.S. Open co-leader and betting favorite, following his opening round of 65 at Pinehurst No. 2.

McIlroy has not won a major championship in a decade but history is on his side. Not only has he finished in the top 10 in five straight U.S. Opens, all three major victories have come after a bogey-free opening round.

Scottie Scheffler entered the tournament as the +300 favorite he is currently the second favorite with +600 odds at DraftKings. He trails the leaders by six strokes at +1, sitting tied in 34th place.

Patrick Cantlay is the co-leader with McIlroy and he has +850 odds. The 32-year-old’s best finish in a major championship is third at the 2019 PGA Championship.

Following Scheffler, Ludvig Aberg is the third favorite with +700 odds, as he is one shot back of the co-leaders. Bryson DeChambeau is two shots back and is next with +750 odds.
