The Los Angeles Dodgers were -6000 NL West favorites on June 20. However, in the midst of white-hot runs by the Arizona Diamondbacks and San Diego Padres, that moneyline has crashed to -275 at DraftKings and -330 at FanDuel.

The baseball season started as though it would be another NL West formality. LA owned baseball’s highest payroll and the Dodgers were riding their cast of MVP award winners to about a double-digit lead in the division. However, that margin has been trimmed to just two games over both the San Diego Padres and Arizona Diamondbacks.

San Diego is currently on a 19-4 run, while Arizona has a 20-5 stretch. That has helped them narrow the gap with the Dodgers, as they battled injuries to Mookie Betts and the pitching staff. While Betts recently returned, the division title is still attainable for both the Padres (+400) and D’Backs (+550).

The Dodgers have won the NL West in 10 of the last 11 years with the only outlier being a franchise-record 107 wins by the San Francisco Giants in 2021 to eke it out by a single game. The division is routinely a foregone conclusion for the Dodgers.

The Dodgers have 40 remaining games, including four with Arizona and three with San Diego.
