The betting market suggests we are poised for a seventh straight season with a foreign-born player winning the NBA MVP award.

Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic are listed at FanDuel as +380 MVP co-favorites for the 2024-25 season.

Joel Embiid, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Giannis Antetokounmpo all are next with +550 odds.

Newly-crowned NBA champion Jayson Tatum is next with +1500 odds. The St. Louis native has the shortest odds of any American-born player.

James Harden in 2018 is the last American to win the award. Since then, Jokic (three times), Antetokounmpo (twice) and Embiid have won the MVP.
