Heisman: Oregon’s Gabriel passes Jeanty

After Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty underdelivered based on his lofty standards, quarterbacks became the new Heisman Trophy betting favorite.

Miami’s Cam Ward is the +230 favorite at DraftKings, while Oregon’s Dillon Gabriel is the +200 favorite at FanDuel.

On Friday night on national television, #19 Boise State outlasted UNLV in a game that will likely decide the Mountain West conference and perhaps a college football playoff berth. Jeanty rushed for 128 yards on 33 carries. That 3.9 average is easily his season low.

Ward and Gabriel posted solid numbers yet again, while their teams remains undefeated. Gabriel began the season as the betting favorite and lost that status with pedestrian stats through his first few games.

Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter is the third or fourth favorite with Jeanty, depending on the sportsbook.
