After an unlikely 3-0 start to the season, Los Angeles Lakers rookie coach JJ Redick is now either the favorite or second favorite for NBA Coach of the Year at all sportsbooks.

Caesars lists Redick as the +750 favorite, while he is a co-favorite with Joe Mazzulla of the Boston Celtics at FanDuel (+750) and BetMGM (+800).

As a media member with ESPN, Redick co-hosted a podcast with LeBron James last year. His intensity and acumen with video analysis generated buzz throughout the entire season, ultimately leading to his hire.

In the past couple days, former NBA player Baron Davis tweeted that he saw Redick watching video on his laptop during a car wash.

The Lakers are one of four remaining undefeated teams, and Redick vowed to solve riddles that were plaguing the Lakers. Anthony Davis is shining, averaging 34.0 points, 11.0 rebounds and 2.3 blocks.
