After needing to win the regular season finale to avoid being the NFC’s fifth seed, the Detroit Lions handled the Minnesota Vikings and now enter the playoffs as the +300 Super Bowl favorite and +135 NFC favorite at FanDuel.

Detroit is the NFC’s top seed and will have a bye, after beating the Vikings, 31-9, to close out the regular season. The shorthanded defense held Minnesota without a touchdown in a game that had an over/under of 56.5, which was the highest of any game all season.

Minnesota finished with a 14-3 record but is relegated to the fifth seed because division winners receive deference and get to host all games in the Wild Card round. Thus, the Vikings visit the Rams but are still the NFC’s third favorite with +750 odds to win the conference and reach the Super Bowl.

Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders are the sixth seed but are the NFC’s longest shot with +1600 odds. They open at Tampa Bay as 3.5-point underdogs.
