Make Up Your Mind, Aaron Rodgers

It has been said that there are two certainties in life. Death and Taxes. Let’s add a third to that list… Aaron Rogers will single-handedly ruin every milestone on the calendar in the world of sports with his contract negotiations. He’s done it in the past and he’s doing it again.

Remember….  Rodgers is still a Packer as of this writing. A quick recap: Rodgers has already steamrolled through these five major events, somehow managing to stay on the first page of ESPN and leading off Sportscenter

1. MLB Spring Training

2. NCAA Basketball Conference Tournaments.

3. NCAA March Madness (Final Four and Championship Game included)

4. MLB Opening Day

5. The Masters

Like a scorching case of athletes foot, the most media-hungry superstar in all of sports just won’t go away quietly. Will we ever have an answer for when the Aaron Rodgers-New York Jets saga might end? No, but at least right now we have a timeline.

In Peter King’s Football Morning in America, he believes an early over-under date for a Rodgers trade to be Friday, April 28, the second day of the 2023 NFL draft. The Jets have two picks in the second round —  picks at 42 and 43 — and both of those could be key components to getting this trade done. If the trade gets done, we could expect Rodgers to be at mandatory minicamp in June and possibly some of the OTA‘s that begin on May 23.

I know you were probably all on the edge of your seat waiting for this to finally happen, but the finale might be in sight. Go to church. Go to Temple. Praise Jesus, Allah, and Oprah — whoever we need to worship to make this end. We all deserve a break from this.
