Mega Football Weekend Betting Preview

The College Football Playoff is this weekend, and there are some important games in the NFL as well. Here are some the games we think you should target with your bets this weekend.

Season Record: 20-27-4

No. 3 TCU vs No. 2 Michigan (-7.5)

Pick: Michigan -7.5

The first matchup of the day should be exciting. TCU will look to jump out to a lead, to prevent Michigan from controlling the tempo with its ground game. Even if that does happen, the Wolverines should be able to hand in and pull away in the second half. Expect them to wear down TCU and cover.

No. 4 Ohio State vs No. 1 Georgia (-6.5)

Pick: Georgia -6.5

It’s a big surprising to me that Georgia is favored by less than Michigan is. The last time Ohio State played a game, the Buckeyes got gashed by Michigan’s run game for a ton of big plays. That isn’t a recipe for success against an arguably more talented Georgia team. Georgia is the favorite to win the whole thing, and rightfully so. Expect the Bulldogs to win comfortably over Ohio State.

Browns @ Commanders (-2)

Pick: Commanders -2

The Commanders are going back to Carson Wentz, but that doesn’t really change much for how you should approach this game. They would likely be getting similar quarterback play out of Taylor Heinicke. However, the Browns have looked dysfunctional with Deshaun Watson at quarterback. That isn’t a good formula when facing Washington’s pass rush. The Commanders need this game to make a push for the playoffs, and they should cover at home.

Bears @ Lions (-6)

I rode the Lions until they proved me wrong, and boy did they prove me wrong last week when they got blown out by the Panthers. The Lions barely got past the Bears in the first matchup. Justin Fields is a huge threat running the ball. The Lions might sneak this one out, but the Bears should stay competitive in this game.
