Mega Football Weekend Betting Preview

By Ryan Bologna

Week 18 of the NFL season is coming up this weekend. Some of those games are a bit funky because teams will be resting starters ahead of the playoffs, but there are some games with a lot on the line. We also have the National Championship on Monday Night. Here are the games you might want to target with your bets.

Season Record: 20-30-4

Titans @ Jaguars (-6.5)

Pick: Jaguars -6.5

The Jaguars are peaking at the right time. Even during their tough start to the season, they had some narrow losses. One of the most notable came against the Giants, when they came up one yard short of a game-winning touchdown. The Titans are going with Joshua Dobbs at quarterback, so Jacksonville should have the advantage in this matchup. With this being a home game, look for the Jaguars to clinch the AFC South in a comfortable win.

Vikings (-7.5) @ Bears

Pick: Vikings -7.5

The Bears might have a good future if they can get Justin Fields some receivers, but they will be without their starting quarterback this week and will roll with Nathan Peterman this Sunday. The Vikings have played a ton of close games, have a negative point differential and might be vulnerable to being upset in round one of the playoffs, but this is all setting up for them to cover in this spot.

TCU vs Georgia (-12.5)

Pick: TCU -12.5

I was way off the mark with my picks for the semi final games last weekend. I didn’t expect TCU to stay in the game with Michigan for all four quarters, let alone play with a lead pretty much the whole game. I do believe Georgia will win the game, but they showed they weren’t unbeatable against Ohio State as well. Expect TCU to cover, in what should be a very entertaining game.

Gas Station Sushi

Giants @ Eagles (-14)

As a Giants fan, I don’t even know if they will play their starters in this game. Brian Daboll has done a great job this season, and he might decide that the culture he is trying to build indicates that he will play his starters in this game. However, the 14-point spread indicates that Vegas doesn’t think the Giants will play their top players. The Eagles did blow out the Giants last time the two teams met, but New York was without Adoree Jackson, Xavier McKinney and Leonard Williams. There is too much unpredictability in this one. Stay away from it when betting on games this weekend.
