Mega Football Weekend Betting Preview

By Ryan Bologna

There is nothing like the drama of football. We saw some of the most unlikely comebacks last weekend. There are some more intriguing games this week and we’re here to tell you what the best bets are.

Season Record: 3-5-1

No. 20 Florida @ No. 11 Tennessee (-10.5)

Pick: Tennessee -10.5

Yes it is a big number, but Florida hasn’t done enough this season to prevent me from taking Tennessee here. Sure, the Gators have one of the top quarterback prospects in Anthony Richardson, but the high-tempo Vols offense should wear down a Florida defense as the game goes along. Tennessee has averaged 52 points per game so far. Look for the Vols to cover.

Chiefs (-5.5) @ Colts

Pick: Chiefs -5.5

The Chiefs offense is still powerful despite the loss of Tyreek Hill, and that should continue in Indianapolis this weekend. The Colts have not looked good at all, and are fortunate to not have an 0-2 record to start the season. The Chiefs are equipped to score at will and did so on the road against Arizona in week one. Expect them to pull away against the Colts.

Lions @ Vikings (-6)

Pick: Lions +6

The Lions have been one of the most enjoyable teams to watch so far this season. The offense has some great weapons with D’Andre Swift and Amon-Ra St. Brown. This team is much-improved from last season, and this is a big number. Detroit might not win on the road against the Vikings, but expect them to cover.

Gas Station Sushi (Stay Away)

Eagles (-6) @ Commanders

The Eagles have looked like Super Bowl contenders so far this season and are certainly capable of winning this game by two scores, but it is still early. Six points is a lot for a division game on the road. The Commanders have had stretches in games where they look great. The trio of Terry Mclaurin, Curtis Samuel and Jahan Dotson is dangerous. Stay away from this game.
