We’ve got some interesting games in college and the NFL this week, and you’re probably looking to bet on some of them. Here are some of the games we think you should consider this weekend.
Season Record: 8-8-2
No. 19 Kansas @ Oklahoma (-9)
Pick: Kansas
We went with the Jayhawks last week at home against TCU, and it resulted in a push. With the way Oklahoma has looked as of late, this is just too many points to not pick Kansas again. Kansas played TCU much tougher than Oklahoma did, and the Sooners didn’t show up in arguably their biggest game of the year last week. Even if the Jayhawks don’t win, expect them to cover.
Buccaneers (-8.5) @ Steelers
Pick: Buccaneers
Kenny Pickett couldn’t have asked for a tougher start to his NFL career. His first start came on the road against the Bills last week, and while the Buccaneers aren’t lighting it up offensively as much this year, that defense is not easy for a young quarterback to face. These games shouldn’t be used to make big judgments on Pickett, but this is a tough spot. Expect a comfortable win for Tampa Bay.
Cowboys @ Eagles (-6.5)
Pick: Cowboys
Dak Prescott isn’t going to play in this game, but Dallas has been able to lean on its running game and defense to win games so far this year. On the road against the Eagles is a tough game, but Dallas was in control of the game against the Rams the whole way, and they beat a surprising Giants team as well. The Eagles are very good, but showed they aren’t unbeatable in their game against Arizona. Expect Dallas to keep this game close at the very least.
Gas Station Sushi (Stay Away)
49ers (-5.5) @ Falcons
The 49ers defense could be good enough for a comfortable win against the Falcons, but Atlanta is 5-0 against the spread so far this season. The Falcons have had a knack for making games close even when they fall behind big. They showed that in their games against the Rams and Buccaneers. It’s tempting to bet on Atlanta knowing this, but the 49ers defense can wreck a game. Stay away from this game when placing bets this weekend.
