The Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas comes to Circuits of the Americas (COTA) on April 14-16. But what is it and why should you care? Grand Prix motorcycle racing, or MotoGP, is the top-tier class of elite motorcycle track racing. In 1949, the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) sanctioned MotoGP as an international motorsport, establishing it as the oldest motorsport world championship, and has since brought many exciting races over the many years.
Like race cars, MotoGP motorcycles are specifically built for racing. Unlike race cars, there is hardly any protection around the rider, aside from their tracksuits and helmets, and in the event of a crash, the consequences are more likely to be fatal. No matter, MotoGP generates over 378 million impressions on social media, and this year will be no different.
This weekend, you can catch Round 3 of MotoGP at COTA live in person at the racetrack in Austin, Texas or you can stream the event here. If you’re looking to add a little spice to the action, look no further. Only Players is here to give you Bet365’s current odds going into the weekend:
