The NFC East, home to the reigning NFC champions, was one of the best divisions in the NFL from top to bottom last season. Every team in the division had at least eight wins with the Philadelphia Eagles winning their way to Super Bowl LVII. They ultimately lost to Kansas City, but the odds point to the Eagles finishing on top of the NFC again this year.
Philadelphia Eagles (+250 Conference Odds)
The Eagles were one of the best teams in the NFL last season and won the NFC East with an impressive 14-3 record. MVP runner-up Jalen Hurts returns this season with a lot of his previous core and the Eagles are poised for another big season.
Not only are the Eagles favored to lead the division at -135 odds, but are also favored to take the conference title again (+250) as well. Philadelphia’s win total is at 11.5 and Hurts will need to stay healthy in order to hit the over.
Dallas Cowboys (+650 Conference Odds)
The Dallas Cowboys saw another successful regular season followed by more postseason disappointment last year — they fell in the divisional round to the San Francisco 49ers after winning the Wild Card game. It’s expected that the Cowboys should have another solid regular season and are second in betting odds to win the division at +195.
The Cowboys’ win total on the season sits at 9.5, but will need their quarterback to cut down on the turnovers if they stand a chance of hitting the over — Dak Prescott was tied for the league lead with 15 interceptions last season.
New York Giants (+2800 Conference Odds)
The Giants were one of the biggest surprises of the NFL season last year and made the playoffs behind first-year coach Brian Daboll. The Giants had nine wins on the season last year and they can hit the over on the win total this year at 7.5, but the Giants have their work cut out for them. Dallas’ odds to win the division sit at +900.
Washington Commanders (+4000 Conference Odds)
The Commanders enter the season with the worst odds to win the division (+1300), despite finishing with a very respectable eight wins last season. Washington has an uphill battle ahead of it as the three other teams in the division reached the divisional round last season. The Commanders will be relying on their stout defense, which finished inside the top 10 in terms of scoring.
Second-year quarterback Sam Howell stepped in during Week 18 and delivered a win against the Cowboys. Washington’s weapon in Howell could be its answer at quarterback if they want to hit their win total at 6.5.
