Ohtani now favored to make 50/50 history

For the first time since odds were posted, superstar Shohei Ohtani is now a -125 betting favorite at FanDuel to achieve MLB history and record at least 50 home runs and 50 steals in the same season.

With 25 games left, Ohtani has 44 dingers and 43 steals. However, the Dodgers own baseball’s best record so Ohtani could sit a few games, if LA has clinched the National League’s top seed.

The MLB is entering the final month of the season, speculation begins to swirl as to whether baseball phenom Shohei Ohtani can set an unprecedented mark in his first season as a Dodger.

Only six players, including Ohtani, have made the 40/40 club. That also includes Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr, who achieved the first ever 40/70 season in MLB history last year.
