OKC’s SGA new -105 MVP favorite

For the first time this season, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the new NBA MVP favorite. The Oklahoma City Thunder point guard has -105 odds at FanDuel.

SGA passes Nikola Jokic, who had been the odds-on favorite for the past month. Gilgeous-Alexander and Jokic are +110 co-favorites at DraftKings.

The Thunder own the league’s second-best record at 27-5, having won 12 straight games. SGA currently ranks second in scoring with 31.3 points per game, while also averaging 6.0 assists and 5.5 rebounds. He also ranks second with 2.0 steals per game.

Jokic and the Nuggets are currently the Western Conference’s fourth seed.

The three-time MVP was averaging a triple-double but he currently sits with 31.0 points, 12.9 rebounds and 9.5 assists. Additionally, he’s posting career-highs in points, minutes, steals, three-pointers made and three-point percentage.

Only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (6), Bill Russell (5), Michael Jordan (5), Wilt Chamberlain (4) and LeBron James (4) have more MVP awards.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is the third favorite with +950 odds at FanDuel, followed by Jayson Tatum with +2200 odds.
