Final game of the first half, let’s call it, of the WNBA regular season before the All-Star break and then the extended Olympic break. So it’s Caitlin Clark and the Fever in prime time on ESPN visiting the Dallas Wings. Now Dallas has the worst record in the W, but Arike Ogunbowale, a very well -established player, so I can understand why this game was on the schedule. Indiana, road favorite, which is not a common thing you could say this year, but they are playing so much better. And obviously Dallas a surprising disappointing season.

So, Fever laying four and a half, 173 and a half. It’s a big number for the over under, but I understand it. This could be an up and down game. Indiana’s fine as a favorite. They blew a game outright in the last time they were favored against the Mystics and that was a bad loss. Down by 21 in the fourth. They did cut it to, I believe, a one possession game, but then the Mystics held on. I think Indiana gets the right mindset and takes care of business.

Don’t love the play, but I like the four and a half. I think Dallas is just a very reckless team. think Arike Ogunbowale at her best is fantastic, but she plays a little too much hero ball, reckless shots, reckless passes. Now, so does Caitlin Clark at times, but I like this Indiana team. I think they’re going to go into the break on a really high note after the comeback win against Minnesota. I don’t think they’re going to waste that and lay an egg here. I think they’re going to run through the trait, tape so to speak, and finish strong.

But I do worry a little bit about the bigs of Dallas, but I think the Boston and there’s some frontline size for Indiana. So I think they can stymie what Dallas can do in the paint, kind of like the Sparks just did against Dallas. And I think the Fever cover this one.
