One of the best pitchers in all of baseball over the last month is a guy many of you have never heard of, at least casual sports fans. That’s Hunter Greene of the Cincinnati Reds. And he’s actually entered the chat, so to speak, for National League Cy Young. Let’s take a look at that race right now where we’ve had two relatively newcomers to the mix and they were about 50 to one or a hundred to one, not too long ago. That’s Hunter Greene is now 12 to one at FanDuel. Dylan Cease.

Who’s been dynamic over the last month also had the no hitter. He’s 16 to one. Those guys were super long shots. And then there’s obviously a gap to Skeens and Wheeler and Chris Hales been the favorite for quite some time. Even money right now. But Greene’s been electric just completely just counting his strike 11 in the last game. He’s given up no runs in his last three starts. That’s 20 innings, not allowing a single earned run. He’s only allowed two earned or less in seven straight starts. So he’s been absolutely dynamic.

So Red’s facing the Marlins on Thursday. There’s a little bit of a tax now on Hunter Greene, minus 195 range. That is pricey, no doubt. Right now there’s no prop bets posted that I can see, but that’s how I would attack this game. I’m not in a rush delay 195, maybe run line, things like that. But the Marlins offense can sneak and kind of explode for runs, maybe not against Hunter Greene, but I think total outs recorded is the way to go for Greene. He’s been absolutely unhittable. He’s had at least 18 outs recorded in five straight starts, excuse me. Yeah, five straight starts. So there’s a lot to like. The strikeouts has a lot of variance. So I wouldn’t bet over on that, but I would do something like, know, hits allowed under or total outs recorded over, things like that, but I’m going to keep riding Hunter Greene.
