Home stretch of the WNBA season and at first glance, you see this spread and you think this has to be the Lynx. But a lot of moving parts here. Really need to think outside the box and almost play amateur psychiatrists or psychologists. Lynx five point favorites in Atlanta, your over/under 158 and a half.
Now Minnesota, currently the second seed right now, one of the best teams in the league and actually a legitimate championship contender, and the Dream outside the playoffs looking in. But so many of those losses came when their best player Rhyne Howard was hurt. She’s back, they’ve been playing well, but they’re coming off back-to-back overtime games. You just wonder if they’re gonna be incredibly drained. They’re at home, and it’s a nice crowd in Atlanta typically, and this Minnesota team, they’re coming off back-to-back comeback wins. They’ve won 10 of 11. I kind of worry about them in this spot.
Both teams could be drained, so I’m gonna just lean to the Lynx, but on paper, they’re so much better than Atlanta. Really the firepower of Minnesota. Great shooting team, pass the ball well, lead in assist percentage. One of those teams that’s just perfect around the feats of Collier. But I’m gonna have to just lean here to the road favorite.
