Just one game on the WNBA schedule on Wednesday and it’s national television. NBA TV, the Dallas Wings hosting the Phoenix Mercury. Mercury five point road favorites. You’re over under 165 and a half. So I like Phoenix here. This Dallas team has major issues. Their best player, Rika Gumawale, an all star, but her efficiency is just so low. Last game, six of 18 shooting. That’s just sort of par for the course. She’ll get you 20, 25 points but it’s gonna be a high volume of shots aside from like the lone outlier where she just goes bananas.

But Phoenix coming off back to back losses. We talk about situational handicapping, really favorable spot. Now the last game they did not have Diana Taurasi or Rebecca Allen. The game before that they blew a double digit lead and lost to Caitlin Clark in the fever at home. So it’s a good bet on spot for Phoenix. Now they are on the road and they are laying points, but Dallas is the worst record in the league for a reason. And they’ve played a couple of times already the Dallas defense will give up plenty of points to this Phoenix offense.

I expect Copper to get back on track, Taurasi to return to the lineup, and then Griner should be fine even with the size in the middle for the wings. So it’s a favorable spot for me. So I’ll lay the five against the Dallas team that really is struggling and Natasha Howard, while I like her, she’s not good enough to be a number two scorer for a team in this league.
