We have history on Friday night. Oregon with its first ever Big Ten home game in Eugene at Autzen Stadium. Ducks 23.5 point favorites with Michigan State in town. The total 52.5.

Okay, so we know Oregon’s capable of beating opponents big. Last week they did not cover against UCLA even though I was frustrated I was on the Ducks, but they didn’t give up an offensive touchdown. They threw a pick six at end of the first half and then Oregon kind of couldn’t get out of its own way and then UCLA does cover barely. In terms of this game, you really can’t handicap it without considering that Ohio State is on deck for the Ducks. That is big. I we talk about look ahead spots and all that thing. I mean, how can you not think about Ohio State next week, a top 10 showdown at Autzen and you have little old Sparty coming in, big time underdog, the Ducks should win.

Dillon Gabriel has been great despite the early offensive struggles first couple games. leads all of college football and completion percentage at 81.5%, but they’ve only covered one game. It’s a little concerning because you are laying big points here, but I don’t want the Ducks and I don’t want the dog here either. It’s a pass for me, but Sparty’s capable of getting blown out. They just lost by 31 to the Buckeyes. Things unraveled for Michigan State. I think this one’s going to be right around the number in my opinion.

So I leaned to Oregon, but I’m not betting them at all.
