Busy Tuesday in the WNBA as each team’s playing their last game before the extended All-Star and then Olympic break. So the Liberty have the Connecticut Sun at home after New York has won both meetings already this season that were in Connecticut. So New York now a four and a half point favorite. 152 and a half is your over under. And I say New York’s now four and a half. And they were really short favorites at Connecticut. Gave Connecticut their first loss of the season.
Liberty were still favored in that game at the Sun. And I think this number’s a little too low. I saw five and a half earlier, got back down. The Over under certainly come down. I like under as well. Both games have snuck under the total. So I just think, look, the situational spot favors Connecticut. I get it. But I just don’t think they have the horses offensively to match what New York does. So I’ll lay the four and a half. It gets a little pricey, all things considered, in what’s expected to be a tight game, but I think the Liberty hold them off.
I just think they’re better offensively and that’s where the Sun really are deficient. Yes, they may have the best defense in the league and New York’s defense is not as good, but the gap in offense is much wider in favor of the Liberty. So I’ll lay the points in game one of an Amazon Prime double header.
