What can you say at this point about the Chicago White Sox? 20 straight losses. That’s unreal. If you really think about baseball, which has so many underdogs performing well, and it’s the cluster hitting and the randomness and 20 straight losses for the White Sox. So they got swept in Minnesota. Now they head to Oakland to open up a series there. Oakland minus 165 is the home team. You’re over under seven and a half.

So let’s put this in perspective at the White Sox. Of these 20 straight losses, 16 have been by two or more. So the opponent has covered the run line and the team total, the White Sox offense just not delivering three and a half. It’s gone under in 17 of those 20 losses. As for this matchup, Jonathan Cannon goes for the Southsiders. He has an ERA over four, 1 .27 whip. He’s a rookie. He’s had a handful of starts in May where he was decent. You really, you know, he two outings where he gave up four earned. The other three gave it less. He’s been fine. I’m sure the offense just isn’t taking care of business in his games that he’s pitched. His offense has only scored four, one, one, one, and three. Now Oakland counters with JP Sears who’s had some moments. He’s coming off a game against the Giants where he had seven shutout innings. So he has some nice performances here and there, but he also gets rocked. His game before that in Houston, or excuse me, home against Houston, he gave up seven earned. And then earlier in the at home against Minnesota. gave up eight earned, but outside of that, he’s pitched well.

So I think Sears will have his stuff against this feeble Chicago offense. So I actually think $1 .65 for a team that this is this brutal, I would lay it. I was a little gun shy at $3 when they were in Minnesota, but this is a different price tag, so to speak. So one shy of the AL record of 21 straight losses. I think they get there and I’ll lay the $1 .65 with the Oakland A’s.
