Brock Purdy’s magical story now seems likely it will involve the NFL MVP, as the quarterback is now an odds-on favorite at all sportsbooks in the range of -200.

The quarterback has posted incredible statistics, and the San Francisco 49ers are the Super Bowl favorites and likely will land the NFC’s top seed. The Niners do host the AFC’s top seed, the Baltimore Ravens, next Monday night and are favored by five points.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is the third MVP favorite (+500) and could potentially become the favorite, if Baltimore earned an upset road win. Each quarterback’s performance in a primetime head-to-head matchup late in the season figures to play a prominent role in voting.

Purdy was the last pick of the 2022 NFL Draft, which always carries the nickname of “Mr. Irrelevant”. He has thrived and shined in Kyle Shanahan’s system, taking full advantage of the opportunity created by Jimmy Garoppolo’s injury last year.

Dak Prescott entered the weekend as the +175 betting favorite but the Dallas Cowboys were defeated convincingly in Buffalo. Prescott threw for 134 yards and had one interception. He is now the second favorite at +450.

Purdy’s teammate, running back Christian McCaffrey, is the fifth favorite at +1200.
