Following a 51-point performance, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander increased from a -500 to -650 betting favorite at DraftKings to win the NBA MVP.

Three-time MVP, who also won the award last year, Nikola Jokic is next with +500 odds. The third favorite (Jayson Tatum) has 300-to-1 odds, implying a two-horse race.

SGA and the Thunder lead the Western Conference by 11 games over the Lakers and Nuggets. At 50-11, they trail the Cavs by percentage points for the league’s best record.

Gilgeous-Alexander leads the NBA in scoring at 32.3 points, while ranking 15th in assists and second in steals.

Jokic ranks third in scoring (28.9 PPG), third in rebounds (12.7 RPG) and second in assists (10.4 APG). He is averaging a triple-double while also ranking fourth in steals.
