Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em: NFL Week 11

By Ryan Bologna

We’re headed into week 11 of the NFL season, and you’re hopefully making playoff push in your fantasy football leagues. Here is who some of the top outlets recommend starting this week.

Quarterbacks

Despite facing a quality team in the Chiefs this week, Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert was a popular name this week. It’s easy to see why when you read the Chargers injury report. They are expected to get both Keenan Allen and Mike Williams back in the lineup. Add in that Herbert has a history of putting up good numbers against the Chiefs and you have a multitude of reasons to start him this week.

Jared Goff was mentioned multiple times in the sit ’em category. He has scored 19 fantasy points or less in his last five games. While the Giants defense isn’t the best in the league, it has been getting the job done and Wink Martingale causes headaches for quarterbacks who aren’t in that elite tier. Detroit has found success running the ball, which is the Giants’ weakness. Expect the Lions to lean on that to try to win this game.

Running Backs

Rhamondre Stevenson has been one of the most reliable running backs in fantasy this year, and experts believe he will put up another solid performance this Sunday against the Jets. He put up over 20 points in PPR leagues in the first matchup between the two teams. New England’s lead back should have another significant role in this week’s game.

As far as the Detroit running backs go, experts aren’t high on D’Andre Swift this week despite him facing a weak run defense in the Giants. They are higher on Jamaal Williams, who has been a productive back in fantasy this year with Swift disappointing. If you have Swift on your roster, it might be worth stashing him on your bench until he proves to be productive again.

Wide Receivers

Denver’s offensive struggles have been well-chronicled this season, but experts are high on Courtland Sutton this week. If there was ever a week for them to get on track on that side of the ball, it would be this Sunday against a Raiders team that is in disarray. Sutton has disappointed in fantasy this year, but experts think he can come through this weekend.

Experts are not high on Diontae Johnson this week, and one of the main reasons is that Kenny Pickett is starting at quarterback. The bulk of Johnson’s production has come with Mitchell Trubisky throwing him the ball. Pickett seems more comfortable targeting George Pickens most of the time. Don’t expect a big role for Johnson in Pittsburgh’s offense this week.

Tight Ends

Experts believe Dalton Schultz is in for a solid game this week against the Vikings. Many of them expect Dak Prescott to have a good game as well, and Schultz is one of Prescott’s favorite targets. He has gotten plenty of chances when Prescott has played, and he should be heavily involved this Sunday as well.

Experts don’t like Foster Moreau this week. He was popular on the waiver wire with Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow on IR, but this is a tough matchup against Denver’s defense. The Broncos have given up one touchdown to tight ends all season, and Moreau hasn’t produced much in fantasy before last week.
