After eliminating the defending champs with a historic comeback in Game 7, the Minnesota Timberwolves are -175 favorites over the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals.

The T’Wolves are the higher seed and will have homecourt advantage. Minnesota is favored by 4.5 points in Wednesday’s Game 1 with a total of 206.

Minnesota won three of the four regular season meetings. However, Luka Doncic missed two of them and all occurred in January or earlier – before Dallas acquired starters PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford via trade. Those moves greatly improved the Mavs’ defense.

Minnesota rallied from a 20-point deficit on Sunday to defeat the Denver Nuggets, marking the largest Game 7 comeback over the past 25 postseasons.

The Timberwolves have never reached the NBA Finals and only have reached the conference finals once before in franchise history. That came 20 years ago in 2004 with Kevin Garnett.
