We covered Deshaun Watson being eligible to return for week 13 a week ago, and that advice still stands. If he is available and you are looking for an upgrade at quarterback, place a claim on him. Commanders quarterback Taylor Heinicke was a popular name this week. Washington has played well since he entered the starting lineup, and he could be a good streaming option against the Falcons this week.
Samaje Perine is the most popular name in the running back category. With Joe Mixon in concussion protocol, Perine should take over the starting role in his absence. Latavius Murray should see a significant role in Denver’s offense with Melvin Gordon having fumble issues and the injury to Mike Boone.
Treylon Burks was a popular name this week, and he’s been periodically mentioned throughout the season. He had a big game last week, and might be trending up. Also of note, Odell Beckham Jr. is expected to sign with a team after this week. He is visiting with the Cowboys and Giants. He would be a good fit in Dallas, even though he wouldn’t be the number one guy. If he returns to the Giants, he would instantly be their best receiver. It wouldn’t hurt to claim him for depth.
Juwan Johnson was the most popular tight end this week. It’s a tough matchup against the 49ers, but after scoring touchdowns in three straight games, outlets believe he can turn in a decent performance this week.
