The Wooden Award betting board continues to tighten, as Duke’s Cooper Flagg is now just a -170 favorite at DraftKings after having -600 odds a couple weeks ago.

Auburn’s Johni Broome has closed the gap and is the only other player with odds offered at +135. The Tigers are the nation’s top-ranked team with a 13-1 record in the SEC, which is the sport’s most competitive conference.

Flagg and #3 Duke rolled Illinois, 110-67, on Saturday night in a high-profile nonconference game at Madison Square Garden. The freshman standout finished with 16 points, seven rebounds and five assists in 23 minutes. He leads the Blue Devils in points, rebounds, assists, blocks and steals.

Broome was the Wooden Award favorite until he sprained his ankle in mid-January. The Auburn big man subsequently dropped to a +550 longshot after the injury but he ended up only missing three games.

On the same day Broome injured his foot, Flagg delivered a signature performance with an ACC freshman-record 42 points in Duke’s win over Notre Dame. The 6’9″ freshman is averaging 19.5 points, 7.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists.
